The Presbyterian Youth Fellowship at Greenwood

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them."

--Ecclesiastes 12:1

PYF (pronounced "Piff") is Greenwood's fellowship of Junior and Senior High youth.

PYF stands for Presbyterian Youth Fellowship. We love the Word, Christian fellowship, music, mission and, of course, food (usually pizza). But we especially like visitors and hope that you will consider coming to one of our meetings and become a part of our growing fellowship.

We meet on most Sunday nights from 6-8 (check the schedule to be sure).  We are an informal group.  All in grades 7 to 12 are welcome; you don't need to be "invited" because everyone is invited.  Just come out and meet the gang.  Oh, if you don't like music and games, you might want to stay home.

Our group is led by Elder Stephen Nazareth, Elder Brian Flannery, Deacon Timoli Richardson, Deacon Emmy Kmet and last, but not least, Deacon Matthew Barber and Chris Nazareth.  Don't let the Deacon and Elder titles intimidate you; we mainly put the titles here so your parents would know our group was run by trustworthy and well-qualified officers of our church.  These folks are crazy! [Meet our leaders]

Most of our meetings consist of:
Contemporary Worship (a.k.a. loud Christian music)
Reflection (on stuff that matters to you)
Games and Activities (who says you can't run around in church?)
Fellowship (a fancy term for hanging out with like-minded friends)
Food (it wouldn't be a party without it!)

 We host:
Retreats (sleep is over rated) (check out some pics)
Lock-ins (again, sleep is over rated) (more pics)
Mission trips (sleep? what?) (
even more pics)
And road trips to concerts, theme parks and the like (pics)
